E. Common Infrastructures Power Management Technologies for Advanced Space Systems
Research on satellite power systems has advanced primarily through component-level improvements, such as improvements to power control units and batteries. These efforts have focused on higher efficiency, miniaturization, and weight reduction, and the resulting technologies have been successfully implemented in practical applications.
However, as space utilization expands and satellite missions become increasingly diverse, securing sufficient electrical power has become a key challenge.
In this study, in addition to developing power system components, the aim is to establish power management technologies that account for the entire system energy cycle, including thermal control. This system-level approach is intended to improve the efficiency of in-orbit power operations.
