Features

The new reliable low-disturbance reaction wheel assembly Type L-A (large size) was developed based on original Type L. The major design modifications are improvement in output torque from 0.1 Nm (Type L) to 0.2 – 0.4 Nm (Type L-A), and improvement in mechanical environment tolerance for random vibration.

Applications

Reaction wheel is an attitude control actuator for 3-axis stabilization of spacecraft.
Type L-A covers a storage momentum range from 10 Nms to 80 Nms for large- and medium- size spacecraft.
